Patient Care Technician

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join our team at Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital. As a PCT, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.
Responsibilities:- Provide assistance to patients according to their plan of care.
- Collect patient data, identify and report significant findings to the nurse.
- Assist in admission, transfer, and discharge processes.
- Provide and revise patient activities of daily living based on patient preferences.
- Perform technical procedures safely and proficiently.
- Take action to reduce or eliminate patient risk.
- Enter orders into the computer or manual system, if applicable.
- Document patient information accurately and appropriately.
- Collaborate with the nurse to adapt care to reflect the patient population.
- Incorporate cultural and religious needs and beliefs into patient care.
- Keep the patient environment clean and maintain a safe environment.
- Anticipate patient, family, and visitor needs and take action to meet those needs.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
- Current TX CNA or PCT training with NHA, NAHP, or NCCT, or an accredited community college program, or a THR-approved program
- Current EMT for TX or Military experience with medical training equivalent to EMT-B
- 1 year of applicable PCT experience in lieu of an active and approved certification
- Nursing student who has completed fundamentals or foreign nurse degree program
- Previous hospital experience is preferred
- BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly
- CPI - Crisis Prevention and Intervention Training within 60 days of hire required
