Patient Care Technician Medical Surgical

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join a reputable medical facility in the northern New Mexico. The Patient Care Technician will report to the Nurse Manager or designated charge nurse within the Medical/Surgical unit. This role involves working closely with registered nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible care for patients.
The Medical/Surgical unit is a fast-paced environment where Patient Care Technicians provide essential support to patients undergoing medical and surgical treatments. The unit is equipped with advanced monitoring systems and medical technology to ensure comprehensive patient care. Our team is dedicated to fostering a compassionate and collaborative atmosphere, ensuring that each patient receives the highest level of care.
As a Patient Care Technician, you will be responsible for assisting patients with daily activities, such as bathing, dressing, and mobility. You will monitor and record vital signs, assist with medical procedures, and provide support to nursing staff in managing patient care. Additionally, you will maintain a clean and safe environment, ensure patient comfort, and communicate effectively with patients and their families about their care.
To be considered for this role, candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience as a Patient Care Technician or in a similar healthcare role is preferred, but not required. Certification as a Patient Care Technician or Nursing Assistant is a plus. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment are essential. Candidates should also demonstrate compassion, empathy, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
