As an HVAC Team Lead at ABM Industries, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the HVAC team. This includes managing the maintenance, repairs, and work orders for commercial, industrial, or multi-floor buildings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operations Management: Oversee the installation and maintenance of HVAC systems, ensuring they are operating in optimum condition.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues within HVAC systems, working directly with clients and vendors to deliver top-tier asset management.
  • Leadership: Provide strong administrative, leadership, technical, and organizational skills to manage the team and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with clients, engineering leadership, and vendors to review and discuss current systems, system needs, and recommendations for major repairs.
  • Administrative Tasks: Assist with administrative tasks, including payroll, training, CMMS updates, vendor management, scheduling, SOP development, and team member performance management.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of 10+ years of related experience and/or trade school training.
  • Certifications: Universal CFC certification, Universal EPA certification, and a valid license/certification for HVAC technicians.
  • Skills: Expertise in all general HVAC concepts, maintaining HVAC systems, and knowledge of refrigeration, heating, and air conditioning principles.
  • Software: Proficient with CMMS software processes and systems, and experience working with equipment vendors and maintenance contractors.
