Position Overview

AECOM is seeking a Senior Construction Engineering Inspection (CEI) professional to contribute to projects in Sebring, FL.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute complex technical tasks related to field surveying and construction layout, ensuring accurate engineering computations and thorough inspection of construction activities.
  • Oversee and coordinate the activities of junior inspectors, providing guidance and support.
  • Work under the general supervision of the Project Administrator, utilizing experience and judgment to achieve project objectives.
  • Establish personal project deadlines and manage time effectively.
  • Deliver on-the-job training to new team members.
  • Monitor compliance with quality standards, performance metrics, specifications, and regulatory requirements through diligent inspection practices.
  • Conduct daily field inspections and maintain comprehensive inspection records.
  • Participate in final inspections, testing, and commissioning processes.
  • Track quality assurance progress and contribute to documentation for project turnover.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:
  • High School Diploma with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • U.S. Citizenship is mandatory due to the nature of the work.
  • A valid Driver's License is required for site visits and meetings.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Four years of CEI experience in roadway or bridge construction.
  • Certifications such as CTQP Final Estimates Level I, CTQP Concrete Field Technician Level I, and others related to construction inspection.
  • Knowledge of FDOT Intermediate Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) and IMSA Traffic Signal Inspector Level I.
  • Training in Nuclear Radiation Safety and Florida Stormwater, Erosion, and Sedimentation Control.

Additional Information

Note that sponsorship and relocation assistance are not available for this position. Compensation will be determined based on location and individual qualifications, with an expected range of $26.00/hour - $46.00/hour.
