Activity Coordinator

We are seeking a compassionate and organized individual to lead activities for residents at New England Homes for the Deaf.
About Our OrganizationNew England Homes for the Deaf is a life plan community dedicated to providing accessible and culturally sensitive care to Deaf, Deafblind, and hard of hearing seniors. Our mission is to offer a continuum of care, including independent living, rest home, skilled nursing community, Deaf senior centers, short-term rehabilitation services, respite care services, and hospice care.
Responsibilities
- Create engaging programs for residents, such as arts and crafts, games, and exercise classes.
- Invite residents to participate in activities and provide necessary accommodations.
- Offer resources and materials for residents to explore their interests.
- Document resident activity participation and provide reminders as needed.
Requirements
- A respectful attitude towards all residents and staff.
- Ability to communicate clearly using American Sign Language (ASL).
- Pleasant personality and ability to remain calm during challenging situations.
- Willingness to take on-site ASL and Culture classes.
Estimated Salary Range:
$45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
