Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our team at Southeast Orthopedic Specialists. As a CRNA, you will be responsible for administering anesthesia and anesthesia-related care to patients undergoing medical procedures, surgeries, or interventions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer various types of anesthesia, including general, regional, and local anesthesia, based on patient needs and surgical requirements.
  • Conduct thorough pre-procedure assessments to evaluate the patient's medical history, current health status, and potential anesthesia risks or contraindications.
  • Develop individualized anesthesia care plans, monitor patient responses during procedures, and adjust anesthesia levels as needed to maintain optimal patient comfort and safety.
  • Advocate for patients' needs and preferences related to anesthesia care, ensuring informed consent and addressing concerns throughout the perioperative period.
  • Collaborate effectively with surgeons, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes and manage anesthesia-related challenges.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to anesthesia-related emergencies or complications, utilizing critical thinking and advanced clinical skills to stabilize patients.
  • Educate patients and families about anesthesia options, potential risks, and post-procedure recovery expectations compassionately and understandably.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of anesthesia assessments, care plans, medication administration, and intraoperative monitoring in compliance with regulatory standards.
Requirements
  • Completion of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree followed by a graduate-level program in nurse anesthesia.
  • Accreditation by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthetist Educational Programs (COA).
  • Passing the National Certification Examination (NCE) administered by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).
  • Registered nursing (RN) license in the state of practice.
