We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to join our team at the University of Florida Health. As a key member of our anesthesia department, you will be responsible for administering anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical procedures, while ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities- Perform pre-anesthetic assessments and evaluations of patients to determine the best course of anesthesia care.
- Develop and implement individualized anesthetic plans, taking into account patient medical history, current health status, and surgical requirements.
- Administer anesthesia, manage patient airways, and monitor vital signs to ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Provide education and support to patients and families regarding anesthesia techniques and pain management.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and departmental efficiency.
- Masters degree in Nursing required.
- PALS, ACLS, and BLS certifications required at time of hire.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to make sound judgments in high-pressure situations.
