Mental Health Therapist

As a Qualified Mental Health Professional at Bay Area Hospital, you will play a vital role in assessing, planning, and implementing patient and family/caregiver needs related to psychosocial health. Your expertise will be essential in providing individual, family, and/or group therapy, as well as creating and supervising an interdisciplinary rehabilitation plan.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess patient and family/caregiver needs and develop effective treatment plans
- Provide individual, family, and/or group therapy sessions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement rehabilitation plans
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient progress
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in mental health care
- Meets the criteria for practicing as a Qualified Mental Health Professional in the state of Oregon
- Strong group skills and effective communication abilities
- Knowledge of cognitive behavioral and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy theories, principles, and practices
- Ability to work flexible schedules and adapt to changing patient needs
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and SAFE class or organization-approved workplace violence training
- Graduate degree in psychology, social work, or other mental health-related field
- Registered nurse with a graduate degree in psychiatric nursing, licensed in the State of Oregon
- Therapeutic Recreational Specialist certification by the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation
- At least three (3) years of experience in the field of psychiatric patient care
