Key Responsibilities:
This facility values teamwork among staff and strives to create a welcoming environment for its residents. The following responsibilities are integral to this role:
- Manage the paging and telephone systems as needed.
- Answer incoming calls, assess the nature of inquiries, and direct callers to the appropriate personnel or department professionally.
- Handle inquiries and disseminate information following established protocols.
- Welcome visitors and guide them to the correct office or resident room.
- Conduct pre-screening procedures (COVID-19) for all staff and visitors entering or leaving the facility.
- Provide directions and information to visitors, guests, residents, and sales representatives.
- Assist with administrative tasks as assigned, including typing, filing, and account postings.
- Receive, organize, and distribute mail as instructed.
- Operate office equipment such as copiers and other machines as required.
- Participate in in-service training programs to fulfill educational requirements.
- Understand and apply Standard Precautions, Exposure Control Plans, and Fire Drill & Evacuation Procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding resident and facility records and information.
- Ensure the protection of residents from neglect, mistreatment, and abuse.
- Safeguard the personal belongings of residents within the facility.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Genuine compassion for and interest in elderly and disabled individuals in a healthcare setting.
- Adherence to Residents' Rights and Facility Policies and Procedures.
- Ability to perform job functions within the outlined physical demands.
- Fulfillment of Essential Duties as described above.
