Job SummaryUnder the supervision of a registered nurse, the licensed vocational nurse (LVN) provides care in accordance with policies and procedures. The LVN works collaboratively with patients, families, and other healthcare team members to deliver high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities- Provides direct patient care under the supervision of an RN.
- Assists with patient assessments, develops and implements individualized care plans, and evaluates patient outcomes.
- Collaborates with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care delivery and effective communication.
- Participates in quality improvement initiatives and contributes to a culture of safety and excellence.
- Current LVN licensure in the state of Texas or a compact state.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- Associate's degree in nursing or equivalent.
- Rehabilitation nursing experience.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
