Position Overview:
The Aviation Maintenance Technician specializing in Engine Systems is responsible for conducting comprehensive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on various aircraft and their associated components.

Key Responsibilities:
- Execute organizational, intermediate, and limited depot-level maintenance tasks.
- Perform thorough inspections and operational tests to ensure optimal performance of all assigned aircraft and equipment.
- Utilize advanced technical expertise to troubleshoot complex issues and provide guidance to fellow technicians.

Maintenance Duties:
- Oversee the maintenance of main, auxiliary, and secondary power systems, including fuel systems and engine components.
- Conduct troubleshooting and testing of power plant systems, replacing or repairing components such as fuel controls, oil pumps, and compressor bleed valves using appropriate tools and equipment.

- Disassemble and inspect engines, identifying any wear or defects, and execute necessary repairs or replacements before reassembling and reinstalling engines in aircraft.

Documentation and Compliance:
- Interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and safety procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- May require off-site service duties as needed.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
- A minimum of three years of relevant experience is required.
- Proficiency in corrosion detection, treatment, and prevention is essential.
- Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain necessary security clearances and certifications.

Preferred Skills:
- Extensive knowledge of aircraft systems and operational capabilities.

- The role is primarily based in a hangar or shop environment, requiring physical stamina to lift objects up to 70 pounds.
