Principal Mixed Signal Electronic Design Engineer

Draper is seeking a highly skilled Principal Mixed Signal Electronic Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Low Power Electronics group, you will play a critical role in the development of next-generation sensor/actuator hardware within the Electronics Division.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop complex mixed-signal electronic systems, including microprocessors, power, and analog components.
- Translate project and system requirements into well-defined hardware architectures, working closely with cross-functional teams.
- Drive innovative solutions to complex problems, develop requirements, and propose ways forward when customer requirements are unclear or incomplete.
- Build and test prototypes, debug, and prepare documentation for manufacturing and support.
- Research and enable innovative solutions for cutting-edge designs, engaging other engineers and partners to develop reliable, cost-effective solutions.
- Manage multi-disciplinary tasks with multiple engineers, effectively communicating status to project leadership and customers.
- Develop, document, and teach best practices to less experienced engineers.
- 7-10 years of experience in Electronic or Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Strong electrical engineering fundamentals, including design and general computer architecture.
- Proficiency in electronic design, microprocessor or embedded computing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to write detailed design specifications.
- Excellent mathematical skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to drive solutions to complex problems.
- Master's Degree in Electronic or Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Experience leading teams of engineers, with background in developing new products/business.
- Technical capability with strong electrical engineering fundamentals, including experience with miniature low power embedded systems, sensor integration, wireless communication interfaces, and battery conditioning and maintenance.
- Familiarity with signal and power integrity analysis tools, such as Hyperlinx and Ansys.
- Experience with miniature electronic packaging and design using bare die or chip-scale packages.
