We are in search of a proficient Systems Administrator who possesses excellent client communication abilities and a strong inclination towards problem-solving.

Position Summary:

The Systems Administrator will play a pivotal role in projects that involve the integration of new clients, the rollout of innovative products, and the enhancement of existing services. This position also serves as a key escalation point for the Network Operation Center (NOC) and Help Desk within the Service Department. Availability for on-call duties is essential. The ideal candidate will demonstrate competence across various domains including Networking, Storage, Server Management, Virtualization, and Security.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Construct and implement new client hardware setups (including servers, switches, firewalls, and SAN) as part of project initiatives.
  • Handle escalation calls from customers seeking technical support.
  • Manage technical escalations from other divisions within Optimized IT.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and partners for testing and troubleshooting.
  • Provide ongoing status updates to clients or project managers regarding support tickets.
  • Generate trouble tickets for issues identified as 'Out of spec.'
Required Skills and Competencies:
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, server environments, and Exchange.
  • Strong familiarity with Microsoft system management tools (Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DFS, NPS, etc.).
  • Comprehensive understanding of Networking principles (VLAN, NAT, DHCP, DNS, etc.).
  • Proficient in Virtualization technologies (VMware VCP preferred).
  • Solid grasp of Storage solutions.
  • Experience with Firewall configurations.
  • Some background in backup solutions.
  • Familiarity with mobile device management.
  • Experience in wireless design, implementation, and management.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective time management skills with the ability to multitask.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with various departments and external partners.
  • Advanced proficiency in PC operations and navigation.
  • Self-motivated, energetic, and proactive.
  • Ability to adapt to change and perform under pressure.
