About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Travel RN to join our team at Amedisys, a leading provider of home health, hospice, and high-acuity care. As a Travel RN, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of patients and their families by providing much-needed care in the comfort of their own homes.

Responsibilities
  • Travel extensively throughout assigned POD to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Coordinate and oversee all aspects of patients' home care, including developing and implementing care plans.
  • Collaborate with patient care teams to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Provide education to families on patient condition, needs, and care.
  • Perform head-to-toe physical assessments, check vital signs, and manage medications.
  • Administer injections, IV therapy, or tube feedings, and maintain catheters.
  • Complete documentation timely and accurately, and supervise LPNs and HHAs.
  • Regularly communicate patient progress to the clinical manager, physician, and care team.
Qualifications
  • Able to travel 100% of the time throughout the company by plane, train, or automobile.
  • One year of nursing experience.
  • Current RN license, specific to the state(s) you are assigned to work.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and liability insurance.
