Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a key member of our Imaging Services department, you will be responsible for performing a variety of radiologic procedures, including general diagnostic, general fluoroscopy, and c-arm procedures. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to effectively interact with patients, physicians, and other staff members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Competently perform radiologic procedures, including positioning patients and selecting exposure factors.
  • Communicate with patients to explain procedures, obtain clinical history, and address any questions or concerns.
  • Identify patient and label images, compare requisitions to physician's orders, and process images to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Assist and communicate with physicians, work independently, and provide technical support to staff.
  • Prepare and maintain records, enter patient and study information into the radiology information system, and document billing codes.
Requirements
  • Radiographer license issued by the state of Wisconsin.
  • Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Advanced training beyond High School in Radiologic Technology.
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders frequently throughout the workday. You must be able to stand/walk for the majority of the day and perform tasks that require lifting, pushing/pulling, and carrying.
