Job Summary:
University Health is seeking a highly skilled Specialty Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide primary health care and perform selective medical services under the direction of specialty physicians.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough medical histories and physical examinations to establish diagnoses and develop treatment plans.
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including ordering and interpreting lab tests and imaging studies.
- Collaborate with specialty physicians to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Provide follow-up and health maintenance care to patients in accordance with established protocols.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research and advancements in the field.
Requirements:
- Successful completion of an educational program for physician assistants or surgeon assistants accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs.
- One year of training in the appropriate specialty.
- Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants is recommended.
- Current licensure as a Physician Assistant in the State of Texas.
- AHA BLS or higher certification.
- Valid DEA number.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Acute Care Nurse Practitioners are welcome to apply.
