Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Asphalt Plant Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the asphalt plant. The ideal candidate will have experience in asphalt production and a strong understanding of plant operations, maintenance, and safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plant Operation: Oversee the production of asphalt and ensure the loading of trucks is efficient.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on plant equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Inventory Management: Track material inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure the availability of raw materials.
  • Safety Compliance: Enforce all safety protocols and ensure that OSHA and company safety standards are met at all times.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve any issues that arise during the production process to prevent delays.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of production, maintenance, and safety activities.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Asphalt Plant Operations Manager or in a similar role in the construction industry.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in operating and maintaining asphalt plant equipment, including computerized control systems.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of asphalt production processes, plant operations, and safety regulations.
  • Certifications: Relevant industry certifications are a plus (e.g., HMA Plant Operations certification).
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to quickly identify and resolve issues to ensure continuous production.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to work in varying weather conditions and lift/move heavy objects as required.
