Refrigeration Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Refrigeration Tech 3 to join our team at Unity Works Staffing & Solutions. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing advanced refrigeration maintenance and repair throughout the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and complex maintenance and repairs on various types of warehouse equipment in accordance with OSHA Standards.
• Define and set up ideal operational settings and parameters for all refrigeration equipment.
• Monitor system performance and take appropriate actions to ensure optimal operation.
• Perform calibrations, replace components, and conduct troubleshooting of refrigeration electrical, mechanical, and controls systems.
• Participate in the implementation and sustainment of our clients' Operating System.
• Share knowledge and assist in the training and development of less experienced technicians.
• Inspect and review work for compliance and quality control.
• Maintain accurate preventive and predictive maintenance records within our CMMS System.
• Keep work areas and tools organized and perform housekeeping duties as required.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• 5 years of industrial refrigeration maintenance experience, including ammonia refrigeration.
• Completion of RETA Operator 1 & 2 courses preferred.
• RETA CIRO certification preferred.
• Ability to work with hands in mechanically oriented situations.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Must be able to work unsupervised.
• Proficient use of testing equipment.
• Must be able to work flexible shifts, including on-call.

Physical Requirements:

• May be required to tolerate working environment with inside controlled temperatures of 20 degrees Fahrenheit and outside ambient temperatures.
• Must be able to work at heights in excess of 35 ft. and access elevated platforms and catwalks.
• Must be able to climb ladders and stairs.
• Frequently required to stand, walk, push, pull, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
• Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to use hand and power tools.
