We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Cornerstone Chemical Company.
About the Role:
- This position is responsible for providing mechanical engineering support for the equipment in the assigned unit, ensuring safe, consistent, reliable, and cost-effective operation while meeting Process Safety Management (PSM) requirements.
- The successful candidate will provide day-to-day maintenance engineering support, troubleshoot issues, and develop repair plans for fixed and rotating equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expertise for Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Work closely with the procurement team and vendors to repair equipment or purchase spares, equipment replacement, or new equipment.
- Build the equipment Bill of Materials (BOM) in the maintenance management system.
- Support the company programs for Health, Safety, and Environment.
Requirements:
- Minimum 4 years of manufacturing plant experience, preferably in a chemical plant.
- Demonstrated knowledge specifying rotating equipment used on a chemical plant site adhering to applicable standards.
- Knowledge of ASME codes and standards.
- Knowledge of API standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Engineer in Training or Professional Engineering License in good standing.
- Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP).
- Category 1 or higher vibration analyst certification.
- Level 1 or higher thermography or ultrasound certification.
- Machine Lubrication Analyst 1 or higher certification.
Compensation:
Our estimated salary for this role is $120,000 per year, based on industry standards and location. We offer a competitive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
