About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Superintendent Healthcare Construction to join our team at Jobot. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of healthcare construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Coordination: Assist in the planning and coordination of all healthcare construction activities to ensure that goals and objectives are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters.
  • Site Management: Manage and supervise the day-to-day operations of healthcare construction projects, ensuring that work is performed in accordance with the project schedule, budget, and quality standards.
  • Construction Activities: Coordinate and supervise all construction activities, including ground-up construction, hospital construction, renovations, expansions, and additions.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure that all construction activities comply with all building codes and safety regulations.
  • Project Scheduling and Budgeting: Assist in the preparation and management of project schedules and budgets.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction and building specialists to ensure that all healthcare construction projects are completed to the highest standards.
  • Problem-Solving and Resolution: Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications and safety standards. Assist in the resolution of any problems that may arise during the construction process.
  • Documentation and Communication: Maintain effective communication with project staff and ensure proper documentation of all construction activities.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of experience in the role of Assistant Superintendent or similar in the construction industry, with a focus on healthcare construction.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Proven experience in ground-up construction, hospital construction, renovations, expansions, and additions. Strong knowledge of construction procedures, building codes, and safety regulations. Excellent leadership and project management skills. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • Education and Certifications: A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Travel Requirements: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities. Must be willing to travel as required by project needs.
