Job Summary:
The Patient Care Technician will provide direct patient care for assigned patients under the supervision of a licensed nurse. This role requires a high level of attention to detail and the ability to accurately document patient information.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including pre and post dialysis assessments and documentation.
- Monitor and document dialysis treatment parameters on Dialysis Flow Sheets.
- Report any significant information or change in patient condition to the supervisor.
- Assist with emergency operational procedures, including initiating basic CPR measures in the event of cardiac and/or pulmonary arrest.
Requirements:
- Previous patient care experience in a hospital setting or related facility is preferred.
- Successful completion of a training course in the theory and practice of hemodialysis.
- CPR Certification.
- High school degree or G.E.D.
- Education in physical sciences and/or training in laboratory techniques is preferred.
