Overview
This role provides essential administrative, sales, and clerical support to Mortgage Loan Officers and Mortgage Sales Managers, often addressing more intricate issues.
This is a full-time, hybrid position that allows for remote work up to 3 days a week following the completion of initial training.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and manage mortgage loan documentation.
- Support clients and potential borrowers throughout the loan journey to strengthen business relationships. Facilitate communication among real estate agents, title companies, and clients regarding settlements, commitment letters, and necessary documentation for loan approval.
- Collect required information to assist Mortgage Loan Officers or Mortgage Sales Managers in the underwriting and credit assessment of borrowers.
- Assist in the preparation and submission of loan applications.
- Manage referral entries and closures in the designated financial corporation system.
- Input data and oversee marketing initiatives and tools relevant to Loan Officers.
- Coordinate the Loan Officer's schedule for client meetings, sales engagements, and other corporate gatherings.
- Collaborate with the marketing coordinator to address Loan Officer promotional needs for marketing materials and events.
- Support data entry into the mortgage company's loan origination platform.
- Ensure effective communication and follow-up between Loan Officers, real estate agents, clients, and processing teams, acting as a liaison to guarantee consistent information flow.
- Engage directly with clients to gather necessary information and documentation for mortgage applications and cost assessments.
- Assist clients in structuring residential mortgage loans, presenting various loan options and their respective advantages.
- Review underwriting criteria, structure loans accordingly, and submit them to the automated underwriting system, making adjustments as needed to secure approval.
- Organize, coordinate, and participate in settlement meetings.
Qualifications
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Experience
A minimum of 2 years in mortgage banking is required.
At least 1 year of administrative experience, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, is required.
Additional Responsibilities
This position may involve other tasks as assigned by management. Every employee is responsible for understanding and adhering to all company policies, compliance programs, and regulations relevant to their role, as well as completing all compliance training by designated deadlines.
Compensation Transparency
This position is eligible for a commission structure in addition to base salary.
