Job Title: Benefits Administrator

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Benefits Administrator to join our team at Forward Air. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills and experience in group employee benefits administration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure timely and accurate benefits enrollments, including audits and quality checks to maintain compliance and integrity of information.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to employees, internal departments, and external vendors, ensuring seamless communication and resolution of benefits-related matters.
  • Serve as primary contact for benefits administration vendor partners, facilitating effective collaboration and issue resolution.
  • Assist with processing qualified life event status changes, benefit enrollments, and dependent eligibility verifications, ensuring accurate and timely updates to employee records.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee benefit records, utilizing case management systems to facilitate efficient escalation processes.
  • Support projects such as open enrollment, census dependent eligibility verification audits, and new plan year audits, providing detailed reports and analysis.
  • Complete monthly invoice billing reconciliation and payment process, ensuring accurate and timely financial transactions.
  • Develop and maintain administrative procedures for benefits administrative processes, ensuring compliance with applicable government regulations.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 2+ years of related group employee benefits administration experience.
  • Professional human resources or benefits administration certification is an asset.
  • Experience with Businessolver Benefitsolver system is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft products, including Excel (Intermediate) and PowerPoint, with experience in human resources and benefit enrollment databases.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Effective time management and priority setting skills, with ability to meet established deadlines under minimal supervision.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with strong attention to detail and process orientation.
  • Thorough knowledge of benefits administration laws and regulations, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Estimated Salary:

$55,000 - $65,000 per annum, based on location and industry standards.
