Primary Care Physician Assistant

About the Role
As a Primary Care Physician Assistant at AdventHealth Ottawa, you will have the opportunity to provide high-quality primary healthcare to patients and families. Your focus will be on health maintenance, disease prevention, patient education, and counseling. You will work under the supervision of a physician, following established guidelines as required and within the scope of practice for each discipline.

Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for performing physical exams on all patients, from neonate to geriatric populations. Additionally, you will diagnose and treat common acute illnesses, chronic illnesses such as diabetes and hypertension, and encourage positive health behaviors through education and counseling. You will collaborate with physicians and other members of the healthcare team to plan optimal care for patients.
Requirements
To be eligible for this role, you must have an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program certification. You should also be eligible for Medicare as a provider and have two or more years of experience. Furthermore, you must hold the required state of Kansas CPR and ACLS certifications.
Compensation and Benefits
The estimated salary for this position ranges between $120,000 and $180,000 per year, depending on your skills and experience. You will receive benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
