About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Rehabilitation Hospital of Southern New Mexico. As a key member of our rehabilitation team, you will play a vital role in helping patients regain their independence and improve their quality of life.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients and develop personalized treatment plans to improve their motor functions and reasoning abilities.
  • Teach patients how to perform daily living and working tasks, adapting to their physical and cognitive abilities.
  • Assist patients in selecting and using adaptive equipment and assistive devices to enhance their independence.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Basic Life Support/CPR certification.
  • One year of experience in a rehabilitation hospital setting, preferably.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of clinical operations and procedures.
  • Understanding of treatment costs and financial support.
  • Competency in providing care according to established standards.
  • Leadership skills in delegating, organizing, and educating coworkers and staff.
  • Effective organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work professionally with others.
