POSITION SUMMARY:
Rappahannock Goodwill Industries (RGI) is on the lookout for a Retail Supervisor to support the operations at the Cosner's Corner store. In this role, you will play a crucial part in overseeing the sales floor and processing area in the absence of management, ensuring that products are presented to customers in a tidy and appealing manner while delivering exceptional customer service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Exemplify exemplary work standards in terms of appearance, conduct, and the quality and quantity of tasks performed.
  • Consistently uphold the 5 S standards and score metrics.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service with a friendly demeanor.
  • Maintain the visual presentation and cleanliness of the sales floor, including restocking merchandise and ensuring that displays and promotional materials are attractive and well-maintained.
  • Assist cashiers with transactions, including voids, refunds, and cash register readings as necessary.
  • Ensure the highest quality of merchandise is available, removing any subpar, damaged, or outdated items from the sales area.
  • Promote a safe shopping and working environment, taking prompt action to address any issues with fixtures or equipment and reporting any violations to the Store Manager.
  • Adhere to security protocols and enforce all security policies, reporting incidents to the Store Manager.
  • Support various store functions as needed to achieve operational goals.
  • Encourage cross-training among team members across different store functions.
  • Keep the Store Manager updated on challenges and achievements related to the sales floor and processing area.
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Availability to work during operational hours as required, which may include days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime with management approval.

Education and Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 1 year of retail or related experience.

• Supervisory experience is preferred.

• Completion of all RGI Team Lead training programs is required.

• Additional mandatory training as directed by your supervisor will be necessary to maintain this position.

  • This role may require a drug screening.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Effective verbal and written communication, along with the ability to bend, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

  • Retail store setting, with some outdoor responsibilities.
