Role Overview

This position is responsible for overseeing all procurement-related activities associated with corporate expenditures, which includes supplier relations, cost management, and quality enhancement. The role necessitates a strong reliance on expertise and decision-making to achieve objectives. It encompasses the recruitment, development, and supervision of professional procurement personnel. Responsibilities also include managing departmental financial plans, establishing departmental goals, and leading global expenditure coordination for categories specific to the designated business unit. Experience in sourcing for marketing and IT is preferred.

Key Responsibilities


•Corporate Expenditures: Strategically and operationally accountable for corporate expenditures in marketing, communications, IT, and professional services. Responsible for preparing annual departmental and supplier expenditure budgets.

•Resource Oversight: Oversee daily operations for strategic sourcing resources that support corporate expenditures. This includes interviewing, recommending, coordinating hiring, training, and managing the performance of all team members within the department. Identify and assess critical roles within the department and develop strategies to cultivate a robust talent pool. Mentor and develop talent using established performance management systems.

•Supplier Relations: Oversee all aspects of supplier relations to ensure cost-effective products and services are delivered with appropriate service levels. Collaborate with stakeholders to define strategy, identify, select, and evaluate supplier performance.

•Contract Oversight: Responsible for all supplier agreements to ensure that necessary legal terms, conditions, and cost/service components are established to meet organizational requirements.

•Performance Reporting: Accountable for monthly reports regarding procurement activities and supplier performance. This includes project execution, contract creation and renewal, cost savings, supplier delivery, and payment timelines.

•Expenditure Optimization: Analyze expenditure and supplier commercial details (pricing, payment terms, contract conditions, etc.) and leverage this information to optimize (quality, service, pricing, technology) expenditures globally for the organization.

•Supply Chain Strategies: Implement adaptable supply chain strategies to meet business unit needs. Evaluate, recommend, and advocate for best-in-class tools/programs to enhance the procurement function. Drive efficient and effective programs both internally and externally. This includes cost modeling or management techniques, process improvement methodologies, supplier innovation, and cost reduction initiatives, as well as supplier collaboration through digital communications and regular business reviews.

•Workflow Development: Design workflows to fully utilize Procurement Support Group resources for tactical operations and maximize system efficiency, allowing local associates to concentrate on strategic initiatives.

•Policy and Procedure Formulation: Develop and maintain comprehensive policies and procedures for all procurement functions to foster an ethical environment free of conflicts of interest, ensure compliance with internal approval processes, and adhere to all local, state, and federal laws and regulations.

Qualifications


•Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations, business, or engineering.

•Minimum of six years of professional experience, including two years in procurement.

•Previous experience with SAP is desirable.

•At least three years of managerial experience.

•Professional Procurement Certification is preferred.
