Position Overview:
The Chief of Annual Fund Operations plays a pivotal role in the strategic planning and execution of Austin Prep's annual fundraising initiatives, specifically focusing on the Austin Prep Fund. This leader is tasked with orchestrating programs, events, and communications designed to enhance current-use donations and boost donor engagement, all while aligning with the institution's broader development objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the institution's mission and uphold its Roman Catholic identity and Augustinian values.
- Design, implement, and oversee strategies aimed at maximizing philanthropic contributions to the Austin Prep Fund, with the goal of elevating unrestricted Annual Fund donations to significant levels.
- Collaborate with Development and senior leadership to ensure alignment of fundraising strategies with the school's overarching goals.
- Develop a comprehensive plan for the Austin Prep Fund, detailing objectives, methodologies (including direct mail, digital outreach, and social media), segmentation strategies, and communication plans to engage and solicit support from constituents.
- Identify donor targets across various constituent groups and devise strategies to elevate their annual giving levels.
- Manage all aspects of annual giving initiatives, including special events and campaigns aimed at faculty, staff, and alumni.
- Oversee a portfolio of leadership-level annual giving prospects, setting goals for personal engagement and relationship advancement.
- Establish and maintain a sustainable volunteer program to promote annual giving, engaging various stakeholders within the community.
- Develop recognition and stewardship initiatives for Austin Prep Fund donors, contributing to the production of key publications.
- Work closely with alumni relations to support reunion giving efforts and maintain a visible presence within the school community.
- Engage in professional development to adopt best practices that align with the institution's growth and evolving needs.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess 5-7 years of proven experience in fundraising, event coordination, or account management, preferably within an educational context. A Bachelor's degree is required. The candidate should demonstrate strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a commitment to ethical practices. Exceptional interpersonal skills are essential for cultivating and maintaining meaningful relationships with donors.
