Job Title: Chief Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Penn State Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team in Reading, Pennsylvania.

About the Role:

The Chief Nuclear Medicine Technologist will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations in the department, staff scheduling in assigned sections, and various supervisory functions. This is a unique opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art hospital with a team of dedicated professionals who are passionate about delivering exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations in the department, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of services.
  • Staff scheduling in assigned sections, ensuring adequate staffing levels and coverage.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure their professional growth and development.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of services and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Five (5) years relevant experience in nuclear medicine technology.
  • Registered Technologist by the A.R.R.T in Nuclear Medicine or NMTCB.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.
