Job Description

The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Emory University School of Medicine is seeking a full-time psychologist with experience working with patients across the lifespan, including adolescents and families struggling with addiction-related concerns. The successful candidate will join the outpatient faculty, open academic rank, and participate in clinical care, education, and research.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provision of patient care, including brief assessments and psychotherapy for minors and adults with substance use disorders and other co-occurring mental health conditions.
  • Supervision and teaching within the addiction psychiatry fellowship and psychology training programs.
  • Participation in research or quality improvement initiatives.
  • Engagement in team-based care and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Doctorate in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA-accredited graduate program.
  • APA-accredited internship and at least one year of supervised postdoctoral training.
  • Licensed or license-eligible in Georgia.
  • Established areas of emphasis in treatment of substance use disorders and distinct areas of focus that provide needed clinical services.
