About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team at Abbey Delray South, a CCRC community in Delray Beach, FL. As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining clean and sanitary conditions in assigned areas, including resident homes, common areas, and dining rooms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and disinfect resident homes and common areas, including floors, dusting, and washrooms.
  • Deliver excellent care of residents' belongings, including cleaning, organizing, and storing.
  • Execute timely cleaning duties when residents are transferred, discharged, or move out, and prepare rooms quickly and efficiently for new occupants.
  • Maintain an organized and stocked work cart at all times, ensuring chemicals are properly labeled and stored, and the work cart is locked when in common areas or unattended.
  • Follow cleaning practices for isolation rooms using appropriate infection control and isolation guidelines.
  • Initiate requests for supplies and equipment needs to supervisor and confirm chemicals are labeled and stored correctly.
  • Assist other departments with cleaning and other housekeeping assignments.
  • Comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations, and maintain knowledge of and follow all company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • No educational requirement.
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic, understand measurements, and follow written and oral instructions.
  • No experience required; a willingness to learn is needed.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English sufficient to perform job duties and interact with residents, vendors, and team members.
