Your Role
We are currently looking for a Senior Vice President, Risk Management to become a vital part of our Embedded Control Team. This position offers a hybrid work environment.
Key Responsibilities
In this influential role, you will:
- Identify, assess, and mitigate complex areas of control testing and risk management.
- Lead projects and analyses, delegating tasks to team members as necessary.
- Oversee control and risk management testing, including conducting Error/Near Miss analyses.
- Conduct independent analyses to enhance internal controls in alignment with regulatory standards.
- Document existing control and recovery practices, collaborating with the business to minimize risk.
- Design and implement risk management training programs to ensure compliance with control procedures.
- Review documentation to verify the effectiveness of control and recovery processes.
- Identify system deficiencies and develop strategies to strengthen defenses.
- Analyze technology and market trends to assess potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Provide guidance to junior control professionals and contribute to achieving departmental objectives.
- Support multiple complex projects, managing timelines and contributing to the development of controls and protocols.
Qualifications
To excel in this position, you should possess:
- A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5-7 years of relevant work experience, preferably in the securities or financial services sector.
- Experience in a Big Four firm or technology risk environment is advantageous.
