Golden State Water Company is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Water Distribution Operator I to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining and operating our water distribution system, ensuring the safe and reliable delivery of water to our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Learns and performs various tasks associated with the maintenance and operation of a water distribution system.
- Operates and maintains water mains, services, valves, fire hydrants, and water meters.
- Interacts with customers and represents the Company in a professional manner.
- Performs meter reads, on/off, and field investigations.
- Collects delinquent accounts and participates in routine maintenance activities.
- Operates company vehicles and equipment according to established safety procedures and policies.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Good communication skills and general PC skills.
- Valid California driver's license.
May include working in all weather conditions, during all hours of the day. Physical demands include standing, climbing, walking, lifting, bending, pulling, and pushing, grasping, reaching, stooping, and crouching, sitting, typing, walking, reading, writing, color determination, speaking, and listening for extended periods of time.
