ROLE SUMMARY:
The After School Teacher plays a crucial role in the daily operations of our after school enrichment program. This position is ideal for individuals who are enthusiastic about education, including students in teacher training programs, experienced educators seeking part-time opportunities, and those with a background in early childhood education.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist students with their homework on a daily basis.
- Deliver engaging and interactive lessons to students.
- Supervise students to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Be available to oversee students during school breaks.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Energetic and positive attitude.
- Strong communication skills.
- Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Passion for working with children.
- Effective classroom management skills for students aged 6 and older.
- Organizational skills to complete administrative tasks and implement lesson plans.
- Flexibility to work with diverse student populations and educational programs.

Maintaining a clean and organized environment is essential, as is the ability to navigate various community settings with children.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS:
A background check and fingerprinting are mandatory prior to employment. The Teacher must ensure constant supervision of children and facilitate safe and appropriate activities. The ability to manage multiple situations simultaneously is crucial, as is preparedness for emergencies.
