  • Educate prospective and current clients about Wells Fargo Home Mortgage offerings, rates, policies, underwriting standards, and loan processes; uphold a high level of client satisfaction through timely and proactive communication.
  • Engage in Wells Fargo training programs to enhance knowledge of products, policies, and underwriting standards.
  • This position involves customer interaction and responsibilities that may include offering or negotiating terms and/or processing applications for secured transactions. Compliance with the S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 and related regulations is mandatory. Ongoing employment is contingent upon meeting these requirements, including satisfactory background checks.
Essential Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in Private Mortgage Banking Sales or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military service, or education.

Job Expectations:
  • This role necessitates SAFE registration upon employment commencement. Wells Fargo will initiate the SAFE registration process immediately after your start date. The Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) website provides the necessary questions and registration for this position. Individuals in Loan Originator roles must meet the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau qualification criteria and comply with Wells Fargo policies. The LO qualification criteria include financial responsibility, character, general financial fitness, and criminal background standards. A current credit report will be utilized to assess financial responsibility and credit fitness, although a credit score will not be part of the evaluation. Successful candidates must also adhere to ongoing regulatory requirements, including additional screening if necessary.
