Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Plumber to join our team at Besco-Engert. As a key member of our plumbing department, you will be responsible for coordinating and installing piping systems for various commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Coordination: Collaborate with site foremen to review project blueprints and specifications, ensuring accurate material lists and timely project completion.
  • Piping System Installation: Cut, assemble, and adhere water piping systems, sanitary, vent, and roof drainage systems, and medical gas piping (if certified).
  • Team Leadership: Assist helpers in understanding job tasks, ensuring work is completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Safety and Compliance: Participate in weekly safety toolbox talks, use proper tools and PPE, and maintain accurate as-built redlined drawings for closeout documents.
  • Reliability and Communication: Possess reliable transportation and effectively manage disagreements, conflicts, and crises.
Physical Requirements
  • Physical Demands: Ability to use hand tools, operate electric and/or battery-powered tools, lift 40 lbs, ascend and descend step ladders, and work from elevated scissor lifts and scaffolding.
Qualifications for Success
  • Experience and Education: 5+ years of experience in a related field, successful completion of an apprenticeship, and a strong understanding of plumbing systems.
  • Soft Skills: Adept at multi-tasking, able to plan, prioritize, and organize individual and helper activities, and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
