Education and Development Specialist

This role is responsible for implementing diverse, age-appropriate activities that meet children's individual developmental needs in a cooperative manner with the teaching team.
Responsibilities- Maintain a safe, orderly, and inviting classroom environment that complies with North Bay Children's best practices, including daily setup and supervision of children at all times.
- Participate in regular self-assessment and goal setting, as well as timely evaluation of job performance with the Head Teacher and/or Site Supervisor.
- Develop meaningful relationships with parents through facilitation of open, responsive communication on a continual basis.
- Attend all scheduled staff development days, staff meetings, and planning meetings with the Head Teacher and/or Site Supervisor.
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, or equivalent experience and training.
- 24 ECE units plus 6 units in Infant/Toddler Development plus General Education units, AND/OR CTC Teacher Permit.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work collaboratively with other center staff and respond positively to management supervision and feedback.
- Pediatric First Aid and Pediatric CPR certification required.
- Valid Driver's License if transporting children.
$33 yearly salary, plus comprehensive benefits package including health screening, Tuberculosis test, and Child Abuse Mandated Reporter Training.
