Job Description

We're seeking a highly skilled Sign Language Interpreter to join our team for the 2024-2025 school year. As a Sign Language Interpreter, you will work closely with students, teachers, and staff to provide communication support and facilitate inclusive learning environments. This is a part-time contract position, with 15 hours per week, and will be based in Augusta, GA.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality Sign Language interpretation services to students, teachers, and staff
  • Collaborate with educators to develop and implement effective communication strategies
  • Support students with diverse needs, including those with hearing impairments
  • Communicate with parents and guardians to ensure seamless support
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • 1 year of verifiable, professional experience as a Sign Language Interpreter within the last 3 years (may include residency or clinical practicum)
  • Valid Sign Language Interpreter credential/license or in process in state of practice
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States and will be asked for proof upon hire. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
