Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic procedures using ultrasound waves to examine tissue and body structure, providing quality images for interpretation.
- Work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
- Implement safety standards and perform quality control procedures to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Recognize significant structures, artifacts, pathology, and equipment limitations to provide accurate diagnoses.
- Maintain a clean and orderly department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, and dressing rooms.
- Completion of a Sonography certification program.
- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification with Abdomen (AB), Breast (BR), Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN), or Musculoskeletal Sonographer (RMSKS) specialty from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
- Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
- Constant standing and walking.
- Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near and far.
- Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication.
- Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
- Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
- Competitive daily pay rate starting at $37.65.
- Shift differentials available for night, weekend, and additional shifts.
- Sign-on bonus of $5,000 paid in full on the first paycheck.
- Relocation assistance available for qualified candidates.
