Key Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to patients, including monitoring their health, assessing pain levels, and administering medication.
- Implement, monitor, evaluate, and update patient care plans to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to coordinate patient discharge plans.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments, and note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
- Educate patients and their families on post-operative care and recovery.
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- One year of current acute care RN experience, with consideration given to military RN experience.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
This role requires the ability to stand and walk for extended periods, handle and lift patients, and work under stressful conditions with irregular hours. Exposure to communicable diseases and body fluids is also a requirement.
