Job Summary

Cleveland Clinic's Avon Hospital is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care, implement and monitor patient care plans, and work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients in the ICU, including administering medications, performing various medical procedures, and monitoring patient vital signs.
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans, ensuring that patients receive the best possible care and meet their individual needs.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and other nurses, to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing education and support to ensure a smooth transition to home or other care settings.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote excellent patient care.
Requirements
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) (if applicable)
  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
  • BSN preferred
