Description: Ogletree Deakins is seeking an attorney to join our Cross-Border practice group. The ideal candidate will have a passion for assisting multinational companies with their labor and employment needs worldwide and advising clients on a full range of international employment issues.

We offer our attorneys multiple writing, publishing, and speaking opportunities, including participation in our Global Solutions task force and podcast series.

This position is fully remote.

We will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with the Los Angeles Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring.

Qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records will be considered for the position in accordance with the Fair Chance Ordinance.

Juris Doctor.

Qualified candidates must be and remain licensed to practice law in the United States location in which they are located and in good standing.

During employment, attorneys must meet requirements for continuing licensure for law practice.

Candidates must possess 5+ years of U.S. labor and employment law experience.

Cross-border and international experience is required. Asia-Pacific and Middle East experience is strongly preferred.

Excellent analytical, critical thinking, creative problem-solving, writing, and communication skills are required.

Must be comfortable analyzing novel and complex legal issues and helping design risk-based and client-practical solutions in situations where multiple laws may apply and may be in conflict with one another.

Must be independent and capable of managing a high volume of different projects at once, task-switching and multitasking frequently, and seeking supervision when needed.

Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, workflow management, and virtual communications technology platforms (e.g., Zoom, Teams, Slack, Smartsheet, Excel, Word, iManage) is required.
