Join us as a Summer Literacy and STEM Instructor with the ODC Network in West Michigan This is a seasonal position that offers the opportunity to work with a diverse group of children and make a meaningful impact on their educational journey.

About the Position

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching lessons to 10-15 students, working cooperatively with a team to incorporate nature into daily practices, and ensuring compliance with all relevant governmental rules and regulations.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced educator who is passionate about nature-based education and working with elementary-aged children.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Teach lessons to 10-15 students that have been prepared by curriculum developers
  • Work collaboratively with the ODC Network Team to maintain high-quality physical facilities and spaces
  • Provide adequate and appropriate supervision for children at all times, promoting safety and well-being

**Requirements:**

  • Teaching certificate with elementary, early childhood, ZS endorsement, or Degree in Outdoor Education with teaching certificate preferred but not required.
  • Experience or college coursework in areas of early childhood or K-12 Education preferred but not required
  • Background/experience in nature-based instruction, outdoor education, or personal interests in outdoor activities preferred
  • Experience in place-based, hands-on, or informal learning experiences for elementary students preferred
  • Experience in STEM for elementary-aged children preferred

**Compensation:**

An estimated salary range of $17-$34/hour depending on experience. The ODC Network offers a competitive compensation package to attract top talent.
