Travel Nurse Dialysis Specialist

Salary: $120,000 per year (based on 40 hours/week)
About the RoleA travel dialysis registered nurse is required to provide high-quality patient care in an inpatient setting. The successful candidate will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to manage and monitor patients undergoing hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis treatment.
- Main Responsibilities:
- Assess and plan individualized care for patients undergoing hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis.
- Monitor patients' vital signs, laboratory results, and dialysis-related parameters to ensure optimal fluid and electrolyte balance.
- Administer dialysis treatments and address any complications that arise during the procedure.
- Educate patients on dialysis treatments, including self-care post-treatment.
- Collaborate with nephrologists, dietitians, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care plans.
- Respond to complications related to dialysis, such as hypotension, cramping, infections, or electrolyte imbalances.
- Administer medications as prescribed, including anticoagulants, antihypertensives, and other dialysis-related medications.
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted.
- Licensure: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; dialysis certification preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in dialysis, nephrology, or critical care nursing.
