We are seeking a highly qualified Assistant Professor of Political Science to join our faculty at the University of California, San Diego. The successful candidate will have a strong research agenda in Native American and Indigenous politics, with a focus on American Politics, Comparative Politics, International Relations, or Political Theory.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of high-quality scholarship, a commitment to teaching and advising undergraduate and graduate students, and a strong service record that contributes to a campus and professional community that prioritizes equity, inclusion, and diversity.
This is a tenure-track position, and the successful candidate will be expected to teach at least one design course as part of their departmental load.
We are particularly interested in scholars who can contribute to the Designing Just Futures Cluster Hire Initiative at UC San Diego, which aims to recruit diverse faculty engaging in innovative and interdisciplinary research at the intersections of design and social justice.
The successful candidate will be affiliated with the UC San Diego Design Lab and the Indigenous Futures Institute.
