Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Audio Visual Specialist to join our team at Atrium Hospitality. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining audio and visual equipment for events held at our property.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Equipment Setup and Operation:
    • Set up, test, and operate AV equipment such as microphones, projectors, sound systems, and video conferencing tools per Banquet Event Orders.
    • Ensure all equipment is functional, troubleshoot issues, and dismantle AV setups post-event.
  • Event Support and Client Interaction:
    • Collaborate with clients to understand specific AV requirements and provide on-site technical support during events.
    • Communicate effectively with event planners and educate clients on equipment usage as needed.
  • Maintenance and Inventory:
    • Perform regular maintenance, inventory checks, and arrange repairs or replacements of AV equipment in collaboration with the Banquets Manager.
    • Prepare and maintain documents for tracking, reporting, and inventory purposes.

About the Role

This is a full-time position, requiring flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event demands. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and customer service skills, as well as proficiency in operating AV systems and troubleshooting issues.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Preferred Prior Experience: 6 months serving experience for medium to large groups.
  • Proven experience as an AV Technician in a hotel, convention center, or similar setting.
  • Proficiency in operating AV systems, video conferencing platforms, and lighting controls.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Food Safety certificate or complete training during initial 90 days.
  • Alcohol certification or complete training during initial 90 days.

Compensation Package

The estimated salary for this role is $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, benefits include daily pay options, employer-paid life insurance, health, dental, and vision options, 401(k) retirement plans, work shoe program, employee hotel discount program, recognition program, and property-specific benefits.
