About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Safety EOC Specialist to join our team at Trinity Health. As a key member of our Environment of Care & Safety department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Monitor Work Areas: Conduct regular inspections of work areas and equipment to ensure compliance with company, state, and federal safety policies and regulations.
  • Document Safety Inspections: Document safety inspections, citing dangerous areas/procedures and recommending corrective procedures.
  • Maintain Safety Equipment: Maintain safety equipment supply and availability for all hospital facilities.
  • Monitor Work Practices: Monitor work practices and procedures for compliance with health and safety requirements, recommending corrective action as needed.
  • Emergency Management: Ensure the scheduling and completion of fire drills as required by NFPA, the Joint Commission, and authorities having jurisdiction.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health: Possess knowledge of occupational safety and health and environmental compliance laws, regulations, and standards.
  • Experience in Safety and Health: Minimum of three years' experience in the implementation of occupational safety and health and environmental compliance programs.
  • Computer Skills: Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications: Certified Healthcare Safety Professional (CHSP) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) preferred.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in the sciences (biology, chemistry, physics, or engineering disciplines) preferred.
