Role Summary and Qualifications
As a Certified Surgical Technician, you will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, ensuring the delivery of safe and effective care in the operating room. Your responsibilities will include:
Key Responsibilities:
- Exhibit the necessary practical and technical skills required for the surgical technician role as per industry standards.
- Prepare the surgical suite by organizing supplies, equipment, and instruments.
- Maintain surgical asepsis during the handling of instruments and materials.
- Assist in the turnover of operating rooms between procedures, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
- Prepare the procedure room for subsequent use by organizing equipment and supplies.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program as per facility and state regulations.
- Certification as a Surgical Technician.
- A minimum of one year of experience in an operating room environment, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center.
- Valid BCLS Certification upon employment; online certification is not acceptable.
