About the Role
The LPN Inpatient Tech will play a critical role in the Cardiac Decision Unit, assisting with admissions and discharges to facilitate throughput. This position will focus on providing exceptional patient care and contributing to a positive patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Obtain and validate medication reconciliation on admission and discharge.
- Assist with discharge-focused teachings delegated by the RN.
- Participate in wound care and safe patient ambulation.
- Role model customer service excellence and related initiatives.
- Mentor Nurse Assistants and serve as an active preceptor.
- Participate in unit-based council activities and initiatives.
- Own LOS on the unit and actively participate in unit-based initiatives.
- Obtain vital signs and conduct focused patient assessments.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
- Healthcare experience preferred.
- Licensed to practice nursing LPN in the state of Virginia.
- AHS BLS-HCP certification required.
- May be required to obtain/maintain AHA BLS based on specific work unit.
