Substation EIT

We are seeking a highly skilled Substation EIT to join our team. As a key member of our electrical engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical substations, including low, medium, and high-voltage systems. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our clients' electrical infrastructure.

• Prepare engineering drawings, calculations, analyses, reports, and designs for electrical substations.
• Develop design deliverables, including one-line diagrams, protection and control schematics, wiring diagrams, SCADA schemes, block diagrams, communications plans, substation physical layouts, material lists, conduit and cable sizing/routing, AC and DC systems calculations and sizing, and substation grounding.
• Perform site visits during the design, construction, and as-built phases of projects.
• Collaborate with designers and CADD technicians to develop drawings in accordance with national design standards, safety codes, and project specifications and requirements.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with an Electrical emphasis.
• EIT certification (or ability to acquire certification within 6 months of employment).
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office and Windows.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Self-motivated and ability to take initiative.
• Desire to pursue growth and obtain Professional Engineer License.

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with an Electrical emphasis.
• EIT certification.
• Highly proficient in using Bluebeam.
• Familiarity with electrical design software such as MicroStation and AutoCAD.
• Prior experience in distribution systems, substation, and power facilities design and engineering is highly preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm is preferred.

The expected compensation range for this position is $68,000-$80,000 annually, depending on skills, experience, education, and geographical location. Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions. Temporary and part-time roles are eligible for limited benefits.
